If You Want Peace On Earth, First You Must…?

Michelle Sherman • Dec 04, 2020

A highly recommended shortcut for those seeking peace in their life and world.

I believe that peace on earth is possible. That our current state of conflict and chaos as humans is not the result of an inherent wickedness, but the result of a lack of imagination. If we can come together and imagine that harmony prevails on the planet we share, it will begin to unfold with greater ease and grace.

What is the very first step to creating, generating, seeing, and experiencing peaceful outcomes? You must first imagine it possible.
Now, many of you are saying that this is not possible.

There were those who thought sailing the earth was impossible because it was flat.

There were those who thought that going to the moon was impossible for we had not yet constructed the technology and the vehicles to do so.

There were those who once thought that the earth was at the center of the universe.

There were those who once thought, throughout the ages, that the end of the world was imminent, and we are thankfully still here to ponder.

There are those who thought that derision instead of compassion was our basic nature.

One thing they all have in common is that they were ultimately proven incorrect.

There are those who think what distinguishes individuals or nations is greater than what we share as children, parents and contributors is dishonest with themselves.

There are those who think what separates us is greater than what brings us together is plain wrong.

And although well-intentioned in their cautionary thinking, the problem is not that the earth was flat, or humans would never venture to distant stars, or that violence is our only choice; the problem is that the options were beyond their imagination.

Peace on Earth? I know it is possible and is already occurring. All we need to do to claim it today is to witness and amplify the goodness we already have created. Our job is to see, experience, expand and imagine it.

Albert Einstein said:

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand”.

The Very First Step to Creating Peace on Earth is...believing it is possible and that Goodness prevails.

Wishes to you and yours for a joyful, healthy and uplifting New Year.
