Awaken the Genius Within

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome to our Thanksgiving edition of VAST Original Thinking® News.

This month we share our gratitude on having the VAST Institute Podcast series turned 21 this month.
Twenty-one episodes strong!

Thanks to you and the encouraging work of our team of contributors, uplifting content is now available on your favorite podcast channel with original solutions from VAST amazing guests, Taste of Original Thinking radio broadcasts, and webinars.

Just
ask your device to “PLAY VAST INSTITUTE Podcasts, episode?” for fresh insight, wisdom and encouragement. As I sat last week and listened, I heard the care and nourishing intent shine through.
Here is your
VAST Podcast Episode listening guide.

None of this would have been possible without the enormous talents and the dedication of the VAST virtual team. What a joy to collaborate with those who know what they do, matters!

I would especially like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to:

Mike Ament for engineering and overseeing our technical infrastructure to seamlessly capture and deliver quality content with diverse approaches.

Dr. Lori Adcock for her wise leadership counsel.

Kimberly Whitson for her clear perspective and sensible approach to accomplishing our most difficult tasks.

Professor Sergey Vesmanov for his scholastic and scientific clarity on sharing the VAST competencies and content with academic communities.

Susan Harmon and Eric Burris of the Susan Harmon Experience on 11.50am radio, currently on sabbatical, for launching our Taste of Original Thinking radio show to listeners in January of 2019.

Jim Cohen for his musical musings and elegant design contribution to the Sound and Light series. This series has sparked a great deal of connection throughout the community. Here are comments from Sound and Light listeners.

“I am really enjoying these… Just wanting you to know! “- KL

“I stumbled across your sound and light show with you and Jim hosting last night before going to bed. Listened to part 3 and 1 in the series!!! Was so deeply moved by the many areas you and Jim brought into focus with the early 60's and 70's..... all the early bohemian cafe gigs starting so many music careers. Loved it so much, !!” - KS

“For those who love the rock and roll story, I had fun times with Sound and Light” - SN

Special thanks to Abigayle Scobee for her voiceovers and contribution to our creative and production team.
More
Sound and Light events and episodes with Jim are in the works for 2022.

Michelle Purnell Hepburn for the delightful Curly Girls Guide to Belonging video/podcast series, with three new episodes to be released this coming Spring.

Seth Pearson, Jeni Miller, Joseph Robinson, Jonathan VanValin, Don Graf and Kimberly Whitson for the podcast interviews which shared their unique brand of Original Thinking with our audience.

I am deeply grateful and awestruck daily at my great fortune to collaborate with such brilliant minds and hearts, as we continue to expand the VAST treasury of light. Stay tuned, follow and share us with likeminded folks who can use a bit of encouragement and sparkle in their world.

In January, we will be hearing from Maria Ross on the Power of Empathy. February promises three inspiring episodes of The Curly Girls Guide to Belonging Series with Michelle Purnell Hepburn. March will be a month for stimulating our positive imagination new friends from the Cloud Collective out of San Diego. For these and all the great thinkers among us, thank you!

Stay tuned to VAST Institute to enrich your library of light in the Spring.

As we settle into this time of gratitude, join us each Friday morning to refresh your Leadership Genius (LG) at our LG Roundtable, or drop in for our Practical Optimists Book Club on the first Tuesday of the month.

As Doris Day, America’s, past sweetheart once so brilliantly assessed, "Gratitude is riches. Complaint is poverty."

Prosper, with the appreciation of what is already good in your world. Fresh starts are always a bit unnerving but with a sense of gratitude, practical optimism and adventure we can imagine a better world into being, together.

The focus is life and music; the stories are profound. Jim Cohen and Michelle Sherman, two cool New York kids, who befriended music - recount how it influenced their lives. Enjoy this unscripted, and poignant dialogue about our music as a life influencer, sustainer and compass; Sound & Light regales us with stories of Jim and Michelle’s memories of music, and delves into key moments of personal growth, the sweep of time, and the power of the beat. They begin on the streets of New York in the 50’s and bring us forward to their vision for today and how music brings us all so much more than just beautiful noise. Listen NOW. Insert link MS
