Becoming Trustworthy
If, as Ralph Waldo Emerson conjects, “self-trust is the essence of heroism,” then exactly what does it take to be deemed trustworthy in this age of disinformation?
If, as Ralph Waldo Emerson conjects, “self-trust is the essence of heroism,” then exactly what does it take to be deemed trustworthy in this age of disinformation? What could possibly evoke a sense of calm, safety, and trust as we are called upon to completely reprogram our internal compass. Below is one point of view that exalts faith and optimism in the befriending of trust.
Trustworthy
“Trusting another is as natural as breathing”
And if one does get hurt
It is well worth the grieving.
But perhaps you do not
Comprehend what I seek
That to trust me is not for the
fainthearted or meek
And the sort that I mean is the
sharpest and clean.
For the kindest of intentions
Often possess hidden dimensions.
And when I state myself trustworthy
It means that I choose to enhance
your destiny.
At its simplest I state
An essential core part
Is that when you trust me
You trust you what dwells in my heart.
