Mike Ament is the Principal and Technical Manager of the VAST Institute.

Truly the man behind the scenes, Mike puts the “IT” in making IT happen for VAST. He keeps the organization’s systems humming on the backend—including the VAST website, webinars, online classes, podcasts, blog posts, marketplace offerings, and more. Mike makes sure each client is connected to VAST from a technical standpoint and ensures their information is safe and secure.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Management & Technology from Western Michigan University and has a degree in Aerospace. Converting to the computer industry in the early 1990’s, Mike has served as a consultant, sales engineer, business and partner development manager.

A curious mind and avid problem solver in the IT arena, Mike has a wide range of experience with multinational organizations as well as Fortune 100 corporations.

Mike launched Ament Resource Group in 2005 as a business development consortium supporting the growth of closely held companies in sales automation, technology infrastructure and human resource sectors.

His goal at VAST is to create a friendly infrastructure to support and deliver VAST Illuminated content. His ingenious and integrated approaches and technical solutions are deeply appreciated by Michelle, her colleagues and all the VAST clients throughout our community.
