Jim has the soul of an artist, the mind of a businessperson and the heart of a guru.

For over thirty-five years he’s partnered with major corporations, gutsy start-ups, non-profit organizations and individuals, to reveal what makes them exceptional, unleash their creativity and develop new pathways for enduring success.

Jim began his career in the complex, demanding world of commercial architectural interior design. As a Partner in one of the top ten firms in the country, he led teams charged with designing human-centered headquarters for fortune 100 corporations.

Since 1991, working at the nexus of design, business and authenticity, he’s been a trusted partner to accelerate the success of new initiatives for organizations like Starbucks, Redbox, Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Sodexo, The Joyce Foundation, The Susan Crown Exchange and many others.

Jim’s value is clear to everyone who works with him: he’s thoughtfully outspoken, creative, daring, demanding of precision and the continuous pursuit of knowledge.

He is a master at bringing out the best, most inventive qualities in organizations and people; and using them to make a major impact on their businesses and lives.

Jim is a frequent guest lecturer, instructor and mentor at the Kellogg School of Management, the Segal Design Institute, the University of Chicago, the Haas School of Business, Chicago Ideas and other business, cultural and civic organizations.
